/01

The situation

Critical CAD files and tooling specifications sat on vulnerable, in-house file servers. The operation wanted to move them into a secure cloud environment without risking their loss in a server failure.

The engineering team had organized its files over 15 years in a deeply nested directory structure that followed the manufacturing logic exactly — switching to an abstract metadata system would have destroyed this well-drilled orientation.

/02

Our approach

Instead of imposing a modern content-management system with abstract tags, we migrated the infrastructure into a secure cloud and replicated the historical folder hierarchy programmatically, down to the character.

/03

The outcome

The digital workspace stayed visually identical for the engineers — with no downtime and no need to readjust.

The operation gained full data redundancy and modern, secured remote access, while nothing about the familiar workflow changed.
