Privacy policy

This is a courtesy translation; the German version is legally binding.

In short: strukturunion.de uses no analytics, marketing or tracking tools, sets no cookies and serves all fonts from its own server. We essentially only process data when you send us an enquiry.

1. Controller

The controller for the processing of personal data on this website is strukturunion gmbh, Schweizer Str. 13, 60594 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

2. Purpose and scope of this notice

This policy applies to visits to strukturunion.de and to the data you send us via the contact form or by other electronic means.

You are generally not obliged to provide your data. Without the details marked as required, however, we may not be able to answer your enquiry meaningfully.

3. Visiting the website and server logs

When you visit the website, technically necessary connection data is processed so the pages can be delivered and the security and stability of the service ensured. Depending on the request, this includes in particular your IP address, date and time, the requested URL, the status code, browser and device information, and referrer data.

The website runs on Google Cloud Run in a data-centre region within the European Union (europe-west1, Belgium). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in providing the service securely and reliably. Technical log data is only retained for as long as necessary for operation and security.

Google Cloud is used as a hosting provider on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Where data is transferred to the USA, the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which Google LLC has joined, and additionally on EU standard contractual clauses.

4. Contact form

When you write to us via the form, we process the details you enter — name, company (if given), email address and the content of your message — together with the recorded time of sending. The form does not collect file uploads or a phone number.

We use this data to:

  • review and answer your enquiry on the merits,
  • assess the scope of a possible project or quote,
  • ask follow-up questions and prepare a possible collaboration.

The legal basis is generally Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract). Where you voluntarily send us details beyond what is required, the processing is additionally based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

5. Email delivery via Google Workspace (Gmail)

Form enquiries are delivered server-side via API through Google Workspace (Gmail) as email to our enquiry mailbox. In doing so, your contact details and the content of your message may be passed to Google as a technical service provider so the message can be delivered.

Google Workspace is used on the basis of a data processing agreement. Where data is transferred to the USA, the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which Google LLC has joined, and additionally on EU standard contractual clauses.

The legal basis for sending is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR; for the secure technical handling we additionally rely on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

6. Fonts (self-hosted)

The fonts used are served locally from our own server (self-hosting). When you load a page, no connection is made to Google Fonts or other external font providers; as a result, no personal data is transmitted to third parties.

7. Cookies and tracking

When you visit strukturunion.de, no cookies are set and no information is stored in your browser. The website uses no analytics, marketing or retargeting tools and embeds no third-party tracking scripts. A cookie banner is therefore not required.

8. Recipients of your data

Recipients of your data may in particular be:

  • the people internally involved in handling the enquiry,
  • Google Cloud (Cloud Run) as hosting and runtime provider,
  • Google Workspace (Gmail) as the technical delivery provider for form enquiries.

9. Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the stated purposes. Where commercial or tax retention obligations apply, longer storage may be required; afterwards the data is deleted or processed under restriction in line with data protection law.

10. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the right to:

  • access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability, where applicable (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • withdraw consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

11. Exercising your rights

For all privacy requests — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability or objection — contact us informally at info@strukturunion.de or use the contact form. We handle your request manually and reply within the statutory period of one month (Art. 12 (3) GDPR). Confirming your identity may be necessary; please share only the data required for that (data minimisation).

12. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For non-public bodies based in Hesse, the competent authority is:

13. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.

14. Status of this policy

This privacy policy will be updated whenever the website’s functionality changes — for example when new services are integrated. As of: July 2026.
